As the Summer of 2010 rapidly comes to a close, the Entertee Hire Team look back on what was another very busy festival season.

Having built on the success of last year, the Entertee Hire crew spent the summer fencing off some of the biggest festivals in the UK including V Festival, Download, Glastonbury, Hop Farm, Lovebox, Sonisphere, Radio Ones Big Weekend, Creamfields, Camp Bestival and Hyde Park to name a few, and concludes the busiest season for the company so far.

"Festival organisers expect a safe high-security fencing product that can be installed and dismantled within demanding build schedules, with minimum disruption to the site grounds.” Said Reece Tee, Entertee Hire founder.

“At 3.4m high T Shield is the highest fence on the market after the supa-fortress. Yet can stand up to extreme winds and can be installed in a fraction of the time, hence its extreme popularity in the ever-growing music festival industry."

“We’ve had to take on even more crew this summer to keep up with demand for the product. And we are already preparing and looking forward to an even busier Summer in 2011.” Concluded Tee.

To find out more about T Shield call us <skype:span class="skype_tb_injection" context="01732 781137" durex="995" durex2="30" freecall="" fwidth="" id="softomate_highlight_0" isfax="" mode=".modern" nof="" path="file://C:/Users/EMMARE~1/AppData/Local/Temp/Low/__SkypeIEToolbar_Cache/e70d95847a8f5723cfca6b3fd9946506/static/" skypeaction="call" skypeid="0" title="Call this phone number in United Kingdom with Skype: +441732781137" type=".flex"><skype:span class="skype_tb_nop"> </skype:span><skype:span class="skype_tb_imgA_flex" id="skype_tb_droppart_0" skypeaction="drop" skypeid="0" skypesms="0" title="Skype actions"> <skype:span class="skype_tb_nop"> </skype:span><skype:span class="skype_tb_imgFlag" id="skype_tb_img_f0" style="background-image: url(file://c:/users/emmare~1/appdata/local/temp/low/__skypeietoolbar_cache/e70d95847a8f5723cfca6b3fd9946506/static/famfamfam/gb.gif)"> </skype:span> <skype:span class="skype_tb_nop"> </skype:span></skype:span><skype:span class="skype_tb_imgS" id="skype_tb_img_s0"> </skype:span><skype:span class="skype_tb_injectionIn" id="skype_tb_text0"><skype:span class="skype_tb_innerText" id="skype_tb_innerText0"> 01732 781137 </skype:span></skype:span><skype:span class="skype_tb_imgR" id="skype_tb_img_r0"> <skype:span class="skype_tb_nop"> </skype:span></skype:span></skype:span>.

Festival promoter Vince Power, together with his team at VPE pulled together an eclectic mix of modern and legendary acts that all complimented each other, but still managed to remain diverse enough to appeal to all ages.

Friday at the festival saw Blondie prove she is still in fine form wowing the crowd with the bands extensive back catalogue of hits. Dr John and his band kept the crowds entertained with a fantastic set and some superb stories of life in New Orleans, and Van Morrison closed the first day of the festival on the Main Stage in style, dressed in a snappy white suite playing a beautiful Steinway grand piano.

Saturday saw us welcome to site amongst others, the superb Seasick Steve and the effortlessly charming Mumford & Sons who both enchanted festival goers with their unique sounds.

The stage and technical production teams work diligently to keep the 4 stages running to time and keep the bands happy while on site. We were able to stick rigidly to the build schedule with no issues of the weather holding jobs up and were ahead of schedule by the time the doors were due to open. The whole team were in extremely high spirits during the time we were on site, which makes the job that much more enjoyable for everyone.”

The local parish councils were invited to the Hop Farm during the build for a Q&A session and a site walk again this year, building on Entertee’s ethos of working closely with the local community and keeping them informed. All questions and concerns were answered and alleviated by a top tier member of our Production Team, and the Parish Councils in attendance were very supportive of the festival.

The entertee team would like to thank all of our suppliers and crew who all helped make the festival the success it was, and for all their hard work over the extensive planning and preparation period, not to mention their tireless hard work on site during the event.

For the fourth year running entertee Hire have been asked back to provide the fencing for the huge New Years Eve Celebrations in Central London.

This year 180,000 people will descend on the banks of the Thames to view the fireworks display that will mark midnight on New Year’s Eve at the London Eye. The display will be visible from many parts of London so the surrounding areas will be filled with members of the public hoping to view the fireworks. Therefore the fencing around the fire work site is strategically arranged to optimise public safety at the event.

Reece Tee, MD of entertee hire, said; “The logistical challenges involved with the NYE event are second to none, and installing and pulling out such a large quantity of fencing in such a short period of time proves very demanding. This year is the fourth year entertee has worked on the project and it is the biggest to date, but the team we have constantly delivered beyond expectation each year.”

The display will be produced by the award-winning London based experiential communications agency Jack Morton Worldwide, who also produced and staged the opening and closing ceremonies for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games.

Last year’s London New Year's Eve was judged the Best Celebration event of the year in the annual events industry awards organised by Event Magazine.

Entertee productions were asked to help make an episode of the Sky One television programme ‘Noels Christmas Present’ a reality when they were asked to do the site logistics for an episode of the show.

Noels Christmas Present, which was the highest rating satellite programme of the festive period last year, is a show where Noel Edmunds gifts a “money cannot buy” experience to reward people who go above and beyond the call of duty to help others less fortunate, and who may, by no fault of their own, not have a great Christmas this year.

Entertee’s involvement was with a very touching story of 3 sisters ages 13, 12 and 9, the youngest of which was diagnosed with leukemia aged 2 and following years of chemo and radiotherapy was told the only way to save her life was to have a bone marrow transplant. After the whole family was tested the oldest sister proved to be a perfect match and underwent the painful procedure to donate the lifesaving marrow to her sister. The middle sister has promised to donate her eggs to her little sister who is now fertile after years of treatment, so she has the chance to have children when she is older. Noel Edmunds felt that these inspirational and remarkably close little girls deserved a special Christmas, which included a stay in a 5 star London hotel, a celebrity makeover, a magical skating experience and culminated in a private JLS concert in their back garden when they returned home.

It was this private concert that entertee were asked to help with and provided the stage, lighting and PA for the television production company Twofour. This proved to be a very challenging job logistically, as the garden is only 6m wide and the stage and equipment needed to be maneuvered carefully into place to fit into the space available.

Gill Tee MD of entertee said "We are very proud to be a part of this special event and to loan our services to such a good and worthwhile cause, and the family involved were a real joy to work with."

Tammy Calow the production manager from Twofour said “entertee have been a wonder to work with and we can’t thank you all enough for everything. ”

This programme with air on Sky One on 20th December.

Anna Friel and her husband David Thewlis both arrived breathless, straight from the West End stage after her performance in Breakfast at Tiffanys. The social elite of London were entertained by Welsh singer Rhydian Roberts and the evening’s entertainment was finished off with the more classical feel of Paul Potts.

All guests left thanking the staff for providing a wonderful evening, and all in aid of the Princes Trust.

Entertee Hire are proud to be part of the first papal visit to Britain since 1982.

Pope Benedict XVI will visit England and Scotland from 16-19 September 2010. It will be the first papal visit to Britain in nearly two decades, when Pope John Paul II’s six-day tour drew huge crowds. This is the first official state visit by a pontiff, following an official invitation by the UK government.

Pope Benedict XVI will fly to Scotland where he will celebrate a public Mass at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow. In England, he will make a speech at Westminster Hall and take part in a service of Evening Prayer with the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The final day of the visit is in Birmingham and is focused very much on the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman, and the Pope will celebrate in Cofton Park in Birmingham, adjacent to the place where Cardinal Newman was buried.

Entertee Hire will provide over 3,000m of 3.4m High T Shield at Cofton Park in Birmingham. This puts the Pope’s visit on an equal footing fence-wise with some of the largest music festivals in the UK.

“The challenges are numerous with large City Centre locations such as this one. Including load-in and out with the trucks and it being a public venue rather than a private green space like a music festival, but the crew are well versed at overcoming these challenges.” Said Reece Tee, Entertee Hire founder.

The build for Pope’s visit starts at the end of August and the fencing will remain in place for one month.

Tee continued; “We’re very excited about being involved in this once-in-a-lifetime event, and its the perfect close to a very busy Summer season for us.”
